Welcome to Mawenzi Worldlife Safaris. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before confirming your booking. By making a reservation and checking the agreement box on our website, you ('the Client') acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Confirmation: A booking is deemed officially confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit and a written confirmation issued by Mawenzi Worldlife Safaris. Deposit Requirement: A deposit of 30% of the total booking value is required to secure and confirm all reservations. Final Balance: The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 30 days prior to the commencement of travel. Late Bookings: For any bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required immediately at the time of confirmation. Transaction Fees: All bank charges, credit card fees, transfer fees, and any related transaction costs are the sole responsibility of the Client unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.

Availability: All website quotes and rates are subject to real-time availability at the actual time of booking. Rate Basis: Prices are calculated based on current park fees, concession fees, government taxes, fuel costs, supplier rates, and statutory charges in effect when the quotation is issued. Price Fluctuations: Mawenzi Worldlife Safaris reserves the right to adjust package prices at any time prior to travel should there be an increase in government taxes, park fees, conservation fees, statutory charges, or third-party supplier costs.

All cancellations must be submitted formally in writing and will only become effective on the date received by Mawenzi Worldlife Safaris. The following standardized cancellation fees apply based on the total booking value:

Client-Requested Changes: Any changes requested after booking confirmation are subject to availability and the Client will bear any additional fees imposed by airlines, accommodation providers, transport operators, conservation authorities, or other suppliers. Operational Adjustments: Mawenzi Worldlife Safaris reserves the right to substitute accommodation, vehicles, guides, routes, or services with alternatives of a comparable standard whenever deemed operationally necessary.

Client Responsibility: The Client is exclusively responsible for obtaining and maintaining valid passports, visas, vaccinations, health certificates, travel permits, and any other documentation required by the destination countries visited. Liability Limitation: Mawenzi Worldlife Safaris shall not be held liable for any financial loss, delay, injury, or disruption resulting from denied entry, visa refusal, incomplete documentation, or a failure to comply with local immigration laws.

Travel Insurance: Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travelers. This policy should sufficiently cover medical expenses, personal accidents, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, trip interruption, baggage loss, personal liability, and repatriation expenses. Traveling without adequate insurance is entirely at the Client's own risk. Medical Evacuation & Rescue: Emergency medical evacuations, air rescue services, and specialized emergency memberships (such as AMREF Flying Doctors, Rescue.co, or similar providers) are not included in standard packages unless expressly stated in your quotation, itinerary, or booking confirmation. Mawenzi Worldlife Safaris can assist in arranging this cover at an additional cost upon request. Medical Costs: The company is not responsible for expenses arising from medical emergencies, rescue operations, evacuation, hospitalization, treatment, or repatriation that are not expressly included in the booked services. Health & Fitness: Clients must ensure they are medically and physically fit to participate in the booked safari, tour, trek, or outdoor activity. Any pre-existing medical conditions, disabilities, dietary requirements, or special needs must be disclosed prior to booking confirmation.

Wildlife Sightings: Because wild animals move freely within their natural habitats, specific wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. Inherent Risks: Participation in safari activities, game drives, walking safaris, boat excursions, trekking, cultural visits, and other outdoor activities involves inherent risks. By booking, Clients agree to strictly follow all safety instructions provided by guides, rangers, camp staff, and relevant authorities.

Mawenzi Worldlife Safaris shall not be held liable for delays, alterations, interruptions, cancellations, or additional expenses caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. These include, but are not limited to: natural disasters, floods, droughts, wildfires, epidemics, pandemics, government restrictions, political unrest, civil disturbances, terrorism threats, airline disruptions, road closures, strikes, adverse weather, or mechanical breakdowns. Under these conditions, the company reserves the right to modify itineraries, postpone travel, offer alternative arrangements, or issue travel credits where reasonably possible.

Mawenzi Worldlife Safaris acts strictly as an agent for hotels, lodges, camps, airlines, transport operators, conservation authorities, activity providers, and independent third-party suppliers. While every effort is made to ensure safe and satisfactory travel arrangements, the company shall not be held liable for injury, illness, death, accident, delay, loss, theft, damage to property, additional expenses, or inconvenience arising from the acts or omissions of third-party suppliers, wildlife encounters, natural events, government actions, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Unless a Client explicitly declines in writing, Mawenzi Worldlife Safaris reserves the right to use photographs and videos taken during tours for promotional, marketing, advertising, website, and social media purposes.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, interpreted, and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any dispute arising from these terms or services provided shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Kenya.

By checking the 'I agree to the Terms and Conditions' box on our digital booking platform, the Client acknowledges full acceptance of all terms outlined above, creating a legally binding agreement between the Client and Mawenzi Worldlife Safaris.
